I was in Icheon for work and decided to have lunch at Kangminju's Dulbap, one of the best restaurants in Icheon. Even though it was lunchtime, it was quite crowded.
There were a few teams waiting, so I took a moment to sit outside and enjoy the view.
이천에 들릴 일이 있어 점심을 먹게 되었는데요, 이천의 맛집으로 손꼽히는 강민주의 들밥을 다녀왔습니다. 점심시간대였지만 사람이 꽤나 붐비었습니다.
대기팀이 몇 팀 있을 정도여서 밖에서 잠깐 경치를 감상하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
I had no idea that a restaurant with an exterior full of jangdokdae, barley oysters, and soybean paste gejang could be ranked as the 18th best restaurant in the country.
장독대가 가득한 바깥 모습과 함께 보리굴비, 간장게장으로 전국 맛집 18위에 랭크될 정도일 줄은 몰랐네요.

After about 20 minutes of waiting, we were seated inside the cool restaurant, where many customers were eating. I wanted to try something different than the main menu of barley oysters and soy sauce crab, so I ordered the charcoal grilled meat set meal.
한 20분 정도 기다렸을까요, 시원한 식당 안에 들어가서 자리를 잡았습니다. 많은 손님들이 식사를 하고 있었습니다. 주요 메뉴인 보리굴비, 간장게장보다 다른 메뉴를 먹고 싶어 숯불고기 정식을 시켜봤습니다.
Basically, the side dishes and stone-cooked rice were served so neatly that the charcoal grilled meat didn't stand out too much. It looked like a traditional Korean meal, and the miso paste was generous, so it was enough for one meal. I was tempted to try the barley oysters, but the charcoal grilled meat was just as good.
기본적으로 반찬이라든지 돌솥밥이 너무 정갈하게 잘 나오기 때문에 숯불고기가 크게 눈에 띄진 않았네요. 한정식 느낌이 잘 살아나 보였고 된장도 푸짐하게 나와서 한 끼로는 손색이 없었습니다. 보리굴비를 먹어볼까 싶었지만 숯불고기도 먹을만했습니다.
Whenever I go to a place where a lot of side dishes are served rather than a large menu, I feel like I've been treated well after eating, and I think one of those places is Kangminju Field Rice.
한 메뉴가 푸짐하게 나오는 것보다 반찬이 많이 나오는 곳에 다녀올 때면 먹고 나서도 뭔가 잘 대접받았다는 느낌이 드는데 그런 곳 중 하나가 강민주의 들밥인 거 같네요.
When I looked it up on Naver, I found that Icheon is the main store and there are branches spread all over Gyeonggi-do. If you have a chance to come to Icheon, I recommend visiting once~.
